Olkaria Geothermal Spa and Demonstration Centre is a unique destination established by KenGen to showcase the direct use of geothermal resources beyond electricity generation. Nestled within the Olkaria Geothermal Field, the Spa highlights practical applications such as warm and hot water bathing for balneological benefits, sauna and steam bathing, cooking, drying of fruits and vegetables, refrigeration, irrigation, and aquaculture.

In the Heart of Nature
The Spa is located inside Hell’s Gate National Park on approximately 4.5 hectares of land. The serene setting offers panoramic views of geothermal steam fields, rolling hills, and rich vegetation.
Guests can also enjoy wildlife sightings, including giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and diverse bird species, making the Spa an exceptional eco-tourism destination.

Blue Lagoons
The Spa features three cascading geothermal lagoons: The first lagoon is a receiving pond for hot geothermal brine with temperatures exceeding 90°C. The second lagoon, with temperatures of up to 50°C, offers both shallow and deep sections in an aesthetically designed setting. The third and largest lagoon maintains a comfortable temperature of approximately 35°C and can accommodate up to 400 guests. A dedicated children's pool, about one foot deep, adjoins the third lagoon, allowing young children to enjoy the warm waters under professional lifeguard supervision.

Getting to Olkaria
The Spa is accessible via Naivasha town along the Nairobi–Nakuru Highway. From Naivasha, take Moi South Lake Road for approximately 35 km to Hell’s Gate National Park.
Alternatively, travelers from Nairobi may use the Mai Mahiu–Naivasha Road, turning left onto Moi South Road approximately 2 km before Naivasha town.
